  1. WHat made DAOC great was the non Busy setting of the game. You would have to go over several hills in order to reach a circle of stones or a dungeon.
This game is plastic with fake animation that leave nothing to the imagination. I guess I’m stuck in 2002 but find the animations fake boring and lifeless. Curiosity killed the Cat but don’t waste your $$$$$ Lich King looks more promising and EQ2 has better graphics =)

This pre-order/Head Start nonsense has brought nothing but trouble. I bet Blizzard is laughing at this.

I really like the game from playing it in the open beta. The graphics, sounds and pvp are very appeasing to the gamer in me.

The problem I have is with Amazon’s handling of the pre-order promotion. Upon ordering this product the emails give no indication of when the codes to play the game early will arrive. Upon calling customer service I’m informed the codes may or may not show up within 3 or 4 days. When I ordered the game I expected the codes to show up on the first day the promotional early play starts which is 9/16/2008.

Be nice if Amazon had put the serial key for this pre-order. Whats the point of pre-ordering if I can’t get in on release date.

I followed the F.A.Q on Warhammeronline.com to get the serial key off of Amazon’s website in the bonus section. No keys for me. No keys anywhere in my account. Lame… boo amazon sucks… boo…

  5. After all the hype and this is what this game looks like? Really? I don’t care if it’s got a kergillion quests and solid PvP, it looks like 2001. Like watching Tron after watching Return of the King. The game was made for Windows 98 and is simply trying to be WoW, but not. I won’t renew no matter how many updates they make because the basic game engine is retarded and ultimately insulting to gamers. Activating a Fire Storm in Guild Wars looks better (way more satisfying) and it’s three years old. What the h3ll were they thinking?

ZERO and I mean ZERO customization options. Let me repeat… NO CUSTOMIZATION. A coupla hair styles and some skin tone and that’s it. Really. My gawd, it’s making me what to go back to the hinky and horrible Age of Conan just to feel like I’m in the 21st Century.

You’d be better off playing one of those free Asian mmo’s like Shaiya or Perfect World. Even the worst game on an XBox 360 looks better than this one.

Knock, knock… it’s 2009. We’ve all got multi-core processors, state-of-the-art graphics cards and 64 bit computers (well ok, some of us do)… hello? Anybody home? Jeez, what a freakin’ let down. The trailers were SO a con.
